Service Mode is a diagnostic and repair interface available on the vehicle touchscreen to help both internal and third-party technicians service Tesla vehicles more efficiently.

This video provides an overview of Service Mode, showing how to access it and a few examples of how to use it. Note that the recording is based on software version 2023.20.4 (June 2023) and that the feature set will continue to evolve with future software releases.

Service Mode Plus adds to the capabilities of Service Mode, including advanced functionalities for repair professionals with a diagnostic software subscription. To enter Service Mode Plus using Toolbox, the vehicle must be locally connected to a computer.
