Coil Suspensionlink

Last updated: January 07, 2022

Overviewlink

Coil Suspension was the standard option for Model S from SOP 2012 until Aug 2017. If coil suspension is fitted to the vehicle, the configuration cfg_airsuspension will be none.

This fully independent suspension comprises of a Steel Compression Coil Spring of a fixed rate over a Gas filled Damper. As this is fixed rate, there is no driver interaction or adjustment available. There are no individual replacement components of the Coil Spring Module, if there is an issue with any part the complete Module will need to be replaced
